I'm a pretty traditional calligrapher. Like most calligraphers, I enjoy working with famous or interesting quotes, attempting to "illuminate" them by interpreting them in their presentation.

Here are four examples of my work. These little gif thumbprints are each about 150 pixels high; click on any picture to see a larger jpeg version. Please note that these images are copyrighted; please don't copy them without permission.

The colors you're seeing here probably aren't that close to the inks I used. Consider that the originals (done with Pelikan ink on good paper) were given away as gifts. However, I made a color photocopy first. So for you to see these pictures, we have an original, turned into a color photocopy, scanned on a flatbed scanner, converted to a compressed gif or jpeg representation, and then displayed on your CRT! It's a wonder they even come close to the originals!

"The wastebasket is the writer's best friend." -Singer "To laugh is proper to man." -Rabelais
"When you have no basis for an argument, abuse the plaintiff." -Cicero "The Socratic manner is not a game at which two can play." -Max Beerbohm
