I greatly admire and respect the artwork
produced by many of the Pacific Northwest tribes. In particular, the
work of the Haida has inspired me to make some images in their style;
this page contains some of that work. Click on any picture to see
its larger JPEG version.
These images were drawn with pen and ink, and then scanned into the
computer. Except for Raven, I then cleaned up the images using a combination
of Painter, Illustrator, and Photoshop. This processing was to improve
contrast, make the lines sharp, and correct some of the scanning artifacts.
This means that these images are a bit more crisp than the originals.
