Below is a list of the all the typos in my book that I've confirmed. I've identified each error with the name of the first person who reported it to me. Note that I have generally tried to fix each typo in the least intrusive way; for practical reasons, I generally have tried to avoid rewriting. Several people have also sent in editorial suggestions; these are not reflected in this list of errata.

Math is notoriously hard in HTML. I'm representing most things here in a LaTeX-inspired form. The underscore _ begins a subscript, the exponent ^ a superscript. I'll use parentheses when appropriate. Something beginning with a backslash (e.g. \lambda) is usually a Greek letter or a funny symbol. Complicated exponents or subscripts will usually be grouped with curly braces.

• Pg. 59 / start of 3rd paragraph / John Francis
  "The shape in Figure 3.29b ..." should read "The shape in Figure 3.29c"

• Pg. 77 / third equation / Clay Budin
  The left side of the equation should read d_N^2(A,B) (that is, the right-hand-side is the value of d_N squared).

• Pg. 78 / first equation / Clay Budin
  There should be a "+" sign in the right-hand side between the first absolute-value term and the fraction.

• Pg. 78 / first equation under "Other Metrics" / Andrew
  The subscript y attached to the A in the last term is misplaced; it should be moved left and up, and some of the space to its right should be taken away.

• Pg. 78 / first equation under "Other Metrics" / Clay Budin
  The term "s(f, A_r, B_r)" should read "s(f, A_x, B_x)".

• Pg. 79 / top equation / Clay Budin
  The denominator should read A_x - B_x

• Pg. 95 / Caption and Figure 5.8 / Imran A. Pirwani
  Change "When \theta=\pi/2" to "When \theta=\pi".
  Change maximum angle for theta on plot from pi/2 to pi.

• Pg. 108 / Figure 6.8b / Andrew
  The most upper-right segment should not be on for the number "6".

• Pg. 142 / first equation / Andrew
  Alignment error - the last term should be shifted upwards.

• Pg. 211 / Figure 12.46 / Andrew
  Blue and yellow colors are too bright and should be toned down.

• Pg. 260 / bottom equation / Qiong Cai
  The minus sign in the exponent should be deleted.

• Pg. 284 / Fourth paragraph / Andrew
  Using [ and ] to stand for the left and right floor brackets, change "For example [7]=3, [8]=4, [9]=4" to "For example, [7/2]=3, [8/2]=4, [9/2]=4".
