Digital Weaving 2-11

This image shows a simulated woven fabric. I created it with a digital loom that I wrote in C#.

To set up the loom, I entered some short expressions in AWL (Andrew’s Weaving Language), which tells the loom the colors of the threads and the pattern in which they are woven. The boxes along the bottom and right edges of the image show those instructions in graphical form.

From this information, my program produced this image of the resulting textile, which you could weave for real if you wanted.
